On September 19th, 2025 (44th event) volunteers of Aylus Great Neck Branch came to Firefighter Park to play with kids. Volunteers brought in games such as badminton, soccer, and ping pong. The most popular games that were played on that day were badminton and tag. Badminton is a fun one on one or two on two game and easily accessible with such an open space at the park. Playing tag can be enjoyed by anyone with the use of strategizing how to maneuver around the chaser.
Games such as these will make the kids be more competitive and have fun while improving their physical and social skills. Physical skills include better stamina and quicker body and reaction movements. Having better social skills can be incorporated with more teamwork and communication. Sportsmanship is also very important with these games as having fair behavior is required for everyone to have fun. Members of Aylus will continue these events by encouraging everyone to stay positive and have fun.
