On September 15, 2025, AYLUS Basking Ridge held a Tech Support Program at Ridge Oak Center, spending the morning helping seniors feel more confident with their Apple devices. Our members patiently guided them through tasks like resetting a forgotten Apple ID password, changing the lock screen background, setting photos to shuffle hourly, and troubleshooting GPS settings, sending photos, misdialing, and phone lock issues.
What made the day special weren’t just the tech fixes—it was the smiles, laughter, and moments of pride as seniors discovered new skills. Volunteers celebrated each small improvement, answered every question with patience, and shared stories and conversation along the way. Even on a quieter day, these simple interactions created connection and joy, leaving seniors feeling empowered and volunteers inspired by the warmth, curiosity, and appreciation of the people they helped.
