Newtown AYLUS Volunteering at Doylestown Hospital on 8/20

On August 20, Eric Chen and Aaron volunteered at Doylestown Hospital as part of their service with Newtown AYLUS. Each shift lasted three hours, during which they helped with both patient transport and patient discharge. Their efforts assisted hospital staff by freeing up time for nurses and other medical professionals to focus on direct patient care while ensuring patients could move through the hospital comfortably and efficiently.

This volunteer work allowed Eric and Aaron to see how much hospitals depend on every role, big or small, to function effectively. Their responsibilities went beyond simply moving patients; they also provided reassurance, helped patients feel at ease, and represented the spirit of compassion that healthcare institutions strive to uphold. They continued to strengthen Newtown AYLUS’s commitment to meaningful community engagement.

Volunteers: Eric Chen(Event Leader) and Aaron Temmer. Everyone did 3 hours of volunteer work.
