On August 23, 2025, the youth volunteers of the AYLUS Rancho Cucamonga Branch once again gathered at the ALFC Generosity Center for a day devoted to serving their community. Arriving early in the morning, the students demonstrated their dedication by setting aside their weekend to focus on helping families who are
struggling. Each volunteer committed 5.5 hours of service, working from 7:20 AM until 1:00 PM with energy and determination.
Throughout the day, the volunteers worked side
by side to organize food supplies with great care. They packed canned goods, sorted through fresh fruits and vegetables, and prepared boxes filled with nutritious items to be delivered to families facing hardship. Every task, whether lifting heavy packages, arranging food neatly, or double-checking boxes, contributed to making sure that the
families receiving the packages could rely on them for healthy and balanced meals. Their hard work not only supported dozens of households but also ensured that resources reached those who needed them most.
In addition to the physical tasks, this service day gave the youth volunteers the chance to develop valuable skills in responsibility, teamwork, and leadership. Working closely together helped strengthen their ability to communicate, cooperate, and adapt to
challenges as a group. Many also expressed that the experience gave them a better understanding of the difficulties that food-insecure families face, reinforcing why their efforts matter so much.
By the end of the project, the volunteers left with a strong sense of pride and fulfillment, knowing they had made a tangible difference in their community. Walking away from the Generosity Center, they carried not only the
memory of their hard work but also a renewed motivation to continue serving others.
This event was another clear example of the Rancho Cucamonga Branch’s commitment to service and community leadership. The dedication, enthusiasm,
and compassion of these young volunteers serve as a model for others, inspiring more acts of kindness and demonstrating how consistent efforts—no matter how small—can add up to powerful, lasting change.
