On August 25th, AYLUS volunteers participated in the “Love Feast” cleaning event. The volunteers arrived at the work site at 8:30a.m. and worked to 12:30 p.m. The volunteers’ primary task was to help clean the area, picking up forks, spoons, cigarette butts, plastic bags, and food scraps, placing all trash in trash bags, and then sweeping the area. We were divided into two groups: one to sweep the trash to a convenient location for everyone, and the other to clean up the inaccessible areas. Afterwards, everyone put on gloves and worked together, picking up trash one by one. The volunteers also brought some food for everyone. The people present were also very friendly and lovely. Their small gestures livened up the atmosphere and made us forget our fatigue.
