On August 21st from 6pm to 7pm, the Great Neck AYLUS Branch held a tutoring session at the Station Library. Baiyu worked with a 7th grader, helping her prepare early for the school year in math and ELA. Linzi worked with newly immigrated siblings, helping them find suitable childrens’ books and reading to them. Yucheng and Emma assisted an adult, helping her practice English through mock conversations. Brian read books with another young child, engaging him with picture books.
All volunteers were committed to their goal of helping kids become more confident and familiar with educational concepts. The Great Neck AYLUS Branch held another successful tutoring session, continuing to provide a welcoming learning environment for all of our students.
