On the afternoon of August 21 at 5:00 p.m., members of the AYLUS Morris Branch came together to deliver a meaningful contribution to the local community by collecting and donating 13 suitcases from neighborhood supporters. The project was part of the branch’s ongoing partnership with Help4All, a local nonprofit distributor dedicated to assisting individuals in need. The donated suitcases were dropped off at Help4All’s distribution site, where they will be sorted and prepared for delivery to homeless individuals and people living in shelters in Newark.
This effort was sparked by the recognition that many people facing homelessness lack reliable ways to store and carry their belongings. A suitcase, often taken for granted in everyday life, can serve as an essential tool for mobility and dignity.
