AYLUS Frisco & Plano Branch Volunteering at FMSC on August 9th, 2025

Reported by: Qilu Jin Posted by: Jenny Lin
On August 9, 2025, four members of AYLUS and two parents participated in a Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) packing session. We arrived at FMSC around 7:15 pm. FMSC provides a special method called MannaPack rice to pack food for kids in need all over the world. We are packing food for the Dominican Republic. MannaPack rice has four ingredients: vitamins, veggies, soy, and rice. FMSC provided instructions for us to pack food using the four ingredients. We were assigned different responsibilities and worked as packagers on the assembly line. We did our best to complete as many boxes of MannaPack rice bags as we could. At the end, we cleaned up the work-stations and the floor. We met up together with all the other volunteers to go over the amount of MannaPack rice we had packed. All the volunteers packed 24,408 meals and 113 boxes. It can feed 66 kids for a year. We are very proud of what we achieved.
