AYLUS Roslyn Provides Food to Local Families Through NOSH Delivers! Food Pantry (96th) on August 9th, 2025

On Saturday, August 9th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 2025 volunteers from the AYLUS Roslyn Branch helped an organization called Nosh Delivers, which is a nonprofit food pantry that was founded during the 2020 pandemic to help struggling families in need. 5 years later they still provide nutritious groceries or “Nosh bags” to hundreds of families.

When the volunteers arrived, they got assigned to do different tasks. Some of the volunteers worked at the farmers market to help guide people through the produce as the others helped pack Nosh bags to deliver to families in need. After volunteers were done with their assigned task, they found other jobs to do. An example of which is: helping customers, restocking, and organizing the shelves.

Some obstacles we came across were to follow every step of the assignment right. We always had to be attentive and listen. But working with the Nosh staff and volunteers was fun and a great experience, especially if you feel charitable and social.

Members who participated include:
