On August 10, 2025, the senior residents of Heartlands Senior Living Village were brought to listen to truly special afternoon of music, laughter, and connection. The Music in Town performance, was organized by AYLUS Howard County Branch, brought together with talented young musicians who filled the Senior Center with stunning music ranging from classical pieces to modern favorites.
The performance created a bridge between generations. The young musicians had the chance to connect with a wise and appreciative audience, while the seniors experienced the joy of youthful energy and creativity. Smiles were exchanged, conversations blossomed after the show, and everyone left with a little more warmth in their hearts.
As one resident even said, “It was like having a private concert in my own living room — and I loved every minute of it.”
The Music in Town program proved once again that music is a universal language one that can inspire, comfort, and bring people together, no matter their age. We can’t wait for the next performance!
