AYLUS Basking Ridge held our annual presentation on “High School and Community Service”, to raise awareness for 9th and 10th graders’ parents to promote volunteerism in the local community at Koo Chinese School (address: 564 Allen Rd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920). Together, we introduced public/private school’s requirements on community service and where to find the local resource. We discussed how community service can raise competitiveness towards school and outside of school awards, mandatory hours, and how community service can benefit college applications. We introduced AYLUS and encouraged those attending the presentation to join as it is a recognized and award winning branch of AYLUS. After the presentation we had a Q & A session about recommendations for rising highschoolers.
