Several RCA members recently performed a concert at a local senior care home. Before the performance, they prepared the piano setup to ensure it was in playable condition and handed out concert programs to the residents. They also introduced each piece before playing it. It was truly heartwarming to witness the joy on the faces of the seniors, the performers, and their families. The students played a range of pieces from contemporary works to selections from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic eras. After the concert was over, they stayed to answer the questions the elderly had. The experience was deeply moving for the members, who felt honored to share the gift of music with the community. The group plans to continue their concert series throughout the year.
