On July 19th, 2025, Murrieta AYLUS members joined forces with CMOH to help with a move at the Empowerment Village. This was part of their continued support for Empowerment Village, following their earlier efforts to paint the house a few months ago. Now, with plans to install a new carpet, they have to clear out all the furnitures and belongings!
The Empowerment Village is typically a community-focused organization that aims to support individuals and families by providing a range of resources, services, and opportunities for growth and self-sufficiency.
Members were assigned specific tasks to help move things efficiently. Furniture was relocated to either a storage room or another house across the property, while books and toys from the children’s playroom were carefully packed and moved to the container storage. Some items were loaded onto a truck to be donated to those in need.
The members were specifically tasked with packing up three rooms downstairs. One was the children’s playroom, which was filled with books and toys that needed careful sorting. Another was an office, where the team had to disassemble a large table to get it ready for the move. The third room was the kitchen, where members helped carefully pack up kitchenware and supplies. The whole team worked together to ensure everything was moved out smoothly, making room for the new carpet and contributing to the ongoing success of the Empowerment Village’s mission.
