Newtown AYLUS Members Volunteer at Local Library (12th)

On Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM EST, members of the Newtown Branch of AYLUS (Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States) volunteered at the Bucks County Free Library – Levittown Branch, continuing their commitment to supporting the local community through meaningful service.

During this session, volunteers focused on organizing books throughout the library. Their tasks included reshelving returned items and performing shelf reading to ensure that books were properly ordered and easy for patrons to find. These efforts play a crucial role in keeping the library collection accessible, efficient to navigate, and welcoming to all visitors.

Well-organized shelves help reduce the time patrons spend searching for materials, support independent exploration, and enhance the overall library experience. By contributing to this essential behind-the-scenes work, the volunteers helped ensure that the library remains a reliable and engaging resource for the community.

David Soong and Edward Soong each contributed 2 hours of service during this session as representatives of the AYLUS Newtown Branch.
