On Friday, July 18th, Syosset AYLUS visited the Sangha learning center. Sangha is a non-profit organization that provides a place where individuals with high functioning ADHD, autism, and OCD can come together and decompress. Together with the participants, we learned about different kinds of bees and how they help us. Many different bees have different purposes, like some help farmers pollinate crops while others aren’t as helpful. After learning about bees, we transitioned to meditating actives. We started off with laughter yoga, then we did some nature related activities like finding things in the wild that resonate with us and shadow tracing with twigs, leaves and so many other things. These activities helped us improve our mental well being while also learning about things we haven’t before
