Syosset AYLUS visited the Sangha learning center on July 16th

On Wednesday, July 16th, Syosset AYLUS visited the Sangha learning center. Sangha is a non-profit organization that provides a place where individuals with high functioning ADHD, autism, and OCD can come together and decompress. During this visit, we spent time outdoors participating in a fun and therapeutic gardening session. Together with the participants, we planted basil and mint in the center’s garden beds, discussing how to care for the herbs and their potential uses in cooking or tea. After planting, we transitioned to a creative art activity, where we made personalized stepping stones. Using cement molds, colorful tiles, and seashells, everyone designed their own unique stone to be placed in the garden. The activity encouraged creativity and collaboration, while also adding a personal touch to the outdoor space. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with connection, laughter, and the joy of working with our hands.
