AYLUS Frisco & Plano Branch Volunteering at FMSC on July 26, 2025

Reported by: Qilu Jin Posted by: Jenny Lin

On July 26, 2025, Saturday, eight members of AYLUS and three parents participated in a Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) packing session. We arrived at FMSC around 7:15 pm. FMSC provides a special method known as MannaPack rice to pack food and nutrition for kids in need all over the world. MannaPack rice has four ingredients: vitamins, veggies, soy, and rice, with dehydrated soy as a main ingredient. FMSC provided instructions for us to pack food using the ingredients. We were assigned different jobs and worked as packagers on the assembly line. We tried our best to complete as much boxes of MannaPack rice bags as we could. At the end, we cleaned up the work-stations and the floor. Around 9:00, we all met up together with all the other volunteers to go over the amount of MannaPack rice we had packed. All the volunteers packed 22,248 meals that can feed 60 kids for a year. We are very proud of what we achieved.

  1. Why leader has an extra hour?
    According AYLUS Community Service Guide:
Time to prepare and organize branch activities by branch leaders does NOT COUNT.
Time to update branch webpage by branch leaders does NOT COUNT.

    Please fix it.

    Thank you.
