On the sunny afternoon of July 12, 2025, members of the AYLUS Great Neck arrived at the Parkville Branch Library as they led a hands-on event to engage children. The session began with stories, as two volunteers read I Am Golden by Eva Chen and The Mochi Makers by Sharon Fujimoto-Johnson. Some volunteers instructed children with crochet, crafting objects like flowers. Other members instructed origami, creating structures like cranes and stars. In total, four AYLUS members participated in the event, creating an enjoyable experience for participants. We thank everyone for coming and we look forward to future AAPI events!
