On June 21st, members of the Syosset AYLUS volunteered at the Long Island Native Plant Initiative (LINPI) to continue their ongoing support of local environmental efforts. Throughout the day, volunteers worked on splitting mature plants and potting them to produce new batches, helping to grow the inventory of native species. They also assisted with preparing fresh planting soil and tidying up the farm after recent rainfall, ensuring the work areas remained clean and organized. The group’s contributions played a valuable role in maintaining the health and productivity of the site, while furthering the mission to restore and protect Long Island’s native plant life.
