On July 05 2025, Murrieta AYLUS returned to the Outreach Farm Project to finish the Pumpkin planting for 2025.
Members arrived early to get started on the rest of the rows that weren’t finished planting last time. Members were given a cup with seeds and broke off into pairs to plant. They made sure to plant the seed deep enough but not too deep and to avoid damaging the pipes. After they finished 3-4 rows, members were tasked with going back to the already planted rows from last time and replanting the holes with pumpkins that didn’t sprout yet. Then, members took weed wackers and went through all the rows to get rid of any weeds that sprouted up. Finally, members finished up and took all the tools up to the hill and placed them with the other tools. They are excited for the pumpkins to grow and to come harvest them soon!
