On July 6, we volunteered at Kings Point Park, a peaceful natural area that many in the community enjoy. Our main task was to help maintain the forest trails, which had been damaged by vehicle activity. The paths had several ruts and depressions that made walking difficult and potentially unsafe for visitors.
Using only rakes, we worked together to fill in these uneven areas with soil. Although we had limited tools, we were able to smooth out the trails and restore a safer, more enjoyable walking surface. It was rewarding to see the immediate results of our efforts.
By the end of the day, we had made a noticeable improvement to several sections of the trail. Volunteering in such a beautiful outdoor space was a meaningful experience, and we were proud to contribute to the upkeep of our local environment.
