On June 28th 2025, Murrieta AYLUS helped with the Outreach Farm Project -Pumpkin planting.
Members arrived in the morning and were given a quick demonstration on how to plant the pumpkin seeds, how far apart each seed would be planted, and how to protect the seeds from getting damaged. Then, members separated to work in groups of 2-3, and each group had their own row to plant. Each row also had different pumpkin seeds planted so there would be a variety of pumpkins to harvest later. Since the weather was pretty hot that day, members made sure to get lots of water in between planting. While planting, the 2 dogs that stayed on the property kept everyone company, and members made sure to give both lots of attention. After members finished, they were given some doughnuts to enjoy. Members will be back soon to help finish planting the rest of the fields.
