AYLUS Great Neck Branch holds AAPI Event at Main Library 23rd (6/28/25)

On Saturday, June 28th, the Aylus Great Neck Branch hosted an event at the Great Neck Library. Volunteers Jolynn Li and Andrew Li started out with showing children origami such as butterflies, cranes, frogs and flowers. At the same time Rainie Cheng taught older and recurring children how to crochet bookmarks and plushies. Afterwards Ryder Li read the book Nipa Hut and Rebecca Xu read Dumplings for Lili to the children. Then the children ended the event by folding lucky stars and continued handcraft and crochet activities. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience for all, not just kids but also adults. We thank everyone who joined us for this event!
