On June 28-30, members of the Birmingham Branch of AYLUS volunteered at the World Police & Fire Games. This is an Olympic-style competition with thousands of athletes representing first responders from countries all around the world. Volunteers helped with “Toughest Competitor Alive,” an event designed to test physical and mental strength through a series of 8 challenges.
AYLUS members assisted with timing and scoring, setting up and unloading bench press equipment, and notifying event staff of any penalties during the obstacle course.
