On June 29th, 2025, the AYLUS Orlando branch organized and carried out a car wash at 7-eleven (901 Lockwood Blvd, Oviedo, FL 32765) from 10am-4pm. This fundraising event was done in order to fully match the monetary requirements necessary to ship the 3000 books raised for Tito Peter’s Free Public Library internationally.
The participants did the following:
- Set up tent, bucket, connect hose to water source, soap water, etc.
- Primed water with car wash soap solution, shower car with water, soap down car, rinse, and dry.
- Communicated with customers; inquiring about any specific concerns or areas needing focus to clean.
The following members participated in the car wash fundraising volunteer activity, 6 hours for following each person: Dylan Wang, Victor Fang, Simon Gong, Brad Zhang, Andrew Lee, and Aditya Dronadula.
