On June 22nd, the AYLUS Houston branch organized a volunteer activity at Ballard House, where we helped clean the kitchen and rooms.
At the beginning, we were divided into three groups and the members who had previous experience of volunteering here were asked to assist those without such experience, and each group was responsible for cleaning one room. We went to the storage room ourselves to find the cleaning tools as required, and then followed the steps given in the instructions to clean the rooms. Afterwards, we gathered in the kitchen and cleared the contents of the cabinets.
Thanks to the volunteers’ dedication, their efforts made this event possible to be held successfully; and we also thank Ballard House for giving us an opportunity to improve ourselves. We look forward to continuing to serve the community in the future.
