AYLUS Roslyn Provides Food to Local Families Through NOSH Delivers! Food Pantry (77th) on June 23rd, 2025

On Monday, June 23rd, volunteers from the Roslyn Branch of AYLUS spent the morning helping out at NOSH Delivers, a nonprofit that works to make food more accessible to families in the North Shore area. Originally launched during the pandemic, NOSH has grown into a full-time food distribution program offering groceries to those in need.

Our team started the day by sorting through donated and dropped-off groceries, carefully inspecting items and setting aside any that weren’t suitable for distribution. Once we picked out the good groceries, we worked together to pack over 250 bags of food, each one filled with a variety of essential items for local families.

After the bags were packed, we continued helping by organizing boxes, clearing space, and stacking piles of cardboard for disposal, making sure the site was clean and ready for the next shift.

Volunteering at NOSH was a meaningful experience for all of us. It was rewarding to know that our efforts directly supported individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community.
