Syosset AYLUS Volunteers at LINPI 6/14/25

On June 14th, members of the Syosset AYLUS returned to the Long Island Native Plant Initiative (LINPI) to continue supporting local conservation efforts. Volunteers assisted with planting native grasses, preparing new batches of planting soil, and tidying up the farm following recent rainfall. One of the main tasks included splitting existing plants and potting them to create new batches, helping to expand the supply of native species for future restoration projects. Despite the damp conditions, members remained focused and dedicated, contributing to the upkeep of the farm and the preservation of Long Island’s native plant habitats.

Attending members: Carolyn Lin (3hrs), Justyn Lam (3hrs), Jayden Lam (3hrs), Jacey Lam (3hrs), Lorne Xie (3hrs), Erick Wu (3hrs), Ian Chan (3hrs)
