On June 21st, members of the Great Neck branch of AYLUS gathered at the Great Neck Main library to engaged with children in various activities such as crochet, craft and reading.Goldman read My Grandfather’s Song and Meixin Ding read Festival of Colors. After reading was done, Joslyn Li helped teach children how to fold butterflies and pigs. Andrew Li folded lucky stars for the children to take home. Rainie Cheng assisted with crochet octopuses and little trinkets like hearts and bookmarks.
With patience children were taught step by step how to folded. They learnt earnestly and enthusiastically. Both children and adults had a wonderful time during this event.
