On June 22th, 2025, 3 Forsyth County AYLUS members went to Sharon Springs Park to conduct trash cleaning around several locations. The members met up at 9:45 AM and finished cleaning at 12:45, collecting 2 large bags of trash. There were many sports-related objects and plastics around the park. Our goal was to rid the park of such trash as well as possible to maintain safety, and also beauty. This is the first time we conducted a clean-up at this park, but we managed to cover the entire park, which had 8 baseball fields, soccer fields, a playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, and shelters. Walking along the trail, we diverged from it to access these locations to pick up trash. Since there were only 3 people, groups were not created. The trash included water bottles, labels, tissue, dog waste bags, lacrosse/baseball/tennis balls, etc.
We used trash bags and gloves as materials.
