AYLUS Roslyn Provides Food to Local Families Through NOSH Delivers! Food Pantry (76th) on June 20th, 2025

On Friday, June 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., volunteers from the Roslyn Branch of AYLUS partnered once again with NOSH Delivers! to support local hunger-relief efforts. During this day of service, volunteers took part in food packaging, assisted at the community farmers market, and helped unload food donations for the pantry.

Volunteers began the day by packaging food supplies into organized NOSH delivery bags. These bags were filled with a mix of nutritious items, including fresh produce, dry goods, and pantry staples, carefully prepared for families who rely on doorstep food support. Each item was inspected and packed with care to ensure quality and freshness.

Afterward, volunteers headed to the farmers market, where they helped distribute fresh vegetables and fruits to families and community members. Volunteers assisted in setting up the market stands, managing lines, answering questions, and helping people carry bags of produce—making healthy food more accessible to everyone in attendance.

Later in the day, the team worked together to unload new donations, including crates of fruits, vegetables, and shelf-stable items. Volunteers carried, sorted, and shelved the items, checking for proper condition and expiration. Their effort ensured that NOSH Delivers! remains fully stocked and organized for upcoming distributions.

Throughout the day, volunteers showed strong collaboration, flexibility, and responsibility, whether lifting heavy boxes, assisting families at the market, or keeping the workspace clean and safe. Gloves were worn during food handling, and volunteers practiced caution when moving equipment and produce.

The Roslyn Branch of AYLUS is proud to have contributed to such meaningful work and looks forward to continuing to support NOSH Delivers! in its mission to fight food insecurity in our community.
