Pearland volunteers conducted another engaging bucket drumming lesson at GiGi’s Playhouse Sugar Land. They began by reinforcing concepts from the first session, including identifying different drum sounds and practicing rhythm patterns such as stop-and-go and heavy vs. light beats. These skills were reinforced through interactive activities like the traffic light game and a “follow the leader” exercise.
To conclude the session, students practiced drumming along to songs they personally selected, adding an element of creativity and fun. Five teenage students participated in the class, actively engaging with both the musical and social aspects of the lesson.
