AYLUS Roslyn Provides Food to Local Families Through NOSH Delivers! Food Pantry (74th) on June 17th, 2025

On Tuesday, June 17th, volunteers from the Roslyn Branch of AYLUS spent the morning helping out at NOSH Delivers, a nonprofit focused on making food more available to families across the North Shore. NOSH began during the pandemic as a meal delivery service and has since grown into a full-time food resource, offering pickups, deliveries, and even a hotline for those unable to reach the pantry.

Our group got started by sorting and packing oranges into bags of 16, then handing out food directly to individuals and families in need.
Inside the pantry, we supported visitors as they chose their groceries, explaining what items were available and how many they could take. Outside, at the market-style setup, we distributed fresh fruits, vegetables, and meat to those stopping by.

To finish off our shift, we helped clean and organize—flattening cardboard boxes, clearing off tables, and resetting the space for the next day. Volunteering at NOSH was a meaningful way to serve the community and help make a difference for people facing food insecurity.
