Stem n Tech (#44): Pearland Branch Community Robotics Class (#19) on June 10, 2025

On June 10th, Pearland Volunteers taught the first class of our summer camp. The first class we taught covered sensors, motors, coding, and electrical pieces in the kit. We each took turns explaining one slide until eventually we got through the teaching portion. Because the kids were already split into groups, we paired up and each went to help a table with the challenge. However, because there were an odd number of teachers, Shaotan had to help at a table by himself. The challenge was to make each of the 3 sensors make a noise when interacting with it. The 3 sensors were touch, color, and an ultrasonic sensor. After that challenge, we moved on to the next one, which was getting your robot to move. We stuck with the same groups, and all the kids successfully programmed their robots to move.
