On Thursday June 12th from 6pm to 7pm, the Great Neck AYLUS branch held a tutoring session at the Station Library to help students with their homework, upcoming tests, and school projects. The volunteers helped the participants in a wide variety of subjects, including science, math and english. Rebecca helped students with their math homework, teaching rounding, and assisting in science projects. Linzi reviewed chemical/physical changes for those who were doing the science project. Brian guided a student through math problems and Ivy was teaching multiplication/ division with decimals for the students. Victoria helped a 4th grader with his math homework. Overall, the session was very informative and engaging. We thank all volunteers and students for participating in the event!
