On Sunday June 8th 2025, the Roslyn AYLUS Branch worked as teacher assistants at the Chinese Cultural Association of Long Island (CCALI) Chinese School. This last day wrapped up its academic year with a joyful and heartwarming end-of-year celebration. Held at the school’s usual weekend campus, students, families, and teachers gathered to recognize the hard work and accomplishments of the students.
The highlight of the event was the graduation ceremony, where students of all ages were honored for their progress in learning the Chinese language and engaging with cultural traditions throughout the year. From beginner learners to those completing their final level, each child received a certificate and a warm applause for their dedication. In addition to the graduation, students and families enjoyed a few performances from the students like singing Chinese songs, dancing, and watching them perform Chinese yo-yo. The performances showcased not only the talents of the students, but also the vibrant culture that CCALI works to preserve and share.
The end-of-year celebration was a reminder of how cultural education can be both meaningful and fun. As the school year closes, the CCALI community looks ahead with excitement to another year of language learning, cultural exchange, and shared heritage.
