Murrieta AYLUS Volunteers at Habitat for Humanity Senior House Preservation #41– House Painting (5/31/2025)

Reported by Jessica Lu
On May 31st, 2025, Murrieta AYLUS members helped with exterior house painting for Habitat for Humanity.
Members got there early to work in order to avoid the heat later on. They started by prepping the house by putting blue painters tape all around the windows and on the concrete around the house to avoid paint getting on them. After the morning meeting and safety checks, members started to paint, focusing on the sunny side first so that way it will be completed. The house was to be painted with 2 different colors, so members worked on the main color, white, around the top of the house and the sheds. After the break, members moved to the green/greyish color that would be painted on the lower half of the house. When the bottom was all done, members cleaned up before saying goodbye.
