Oakland Gardens Branch Introducing AYLUS to the Community on Memorial Day Parade (05/26/2025)

On May 26th, 2025, our team hosted our 160th event at Northern Blvd for Memorial Day Parade from 1:30pm to 4:00 pm. The Memorial Day parade is primarily held to honor and remember those who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It serves as a public expression of gratitude and remembrance for the sacrifices made by these individuals.

During this event, our organization partnered with local businesses in order to promote their work as well as bringing more awareness to our branch. We split up into two groups, one group helping the local business promote itself through the distribution of flyers and the second group making balloons to give out to the community that are watching the parade as well as introducing our branch. We had members walking up and down the street in order to promote the local business through handing out flyers and balloons. Not only that, our members also promoted the branch through answering any inquiries while handing out balloons to the neighborhood.

We would like to thank our veterans for keeping our country safe, for their dedication, as well as their hard work. We would also like to thank our members for coming to this event and their hard work.
