The newly elected leadership team of AYLUS Pearland/PROMIS successfully planned and hosted the annual community End-of-School-Year Party on May 22. In preparation, the officers held a planning meeting on May 16 to finalize the event’s activities. They created a Google registration form and a flyer to promote the event and encouraged school-aged children and youth from the community to participate.
To attract more residents, they ordered a variety of food trays. The event featured engaging activities such as volleyball games and a watermelon eating contest, which were especially popular among the youth. The City’s Parks and Recreation Manager, Julio, also attended and presented service certificates to all high school seniors who had volunteered at Parks Department events. In addition, AYLUS Pearland/PROMIS awarded PVSA certificates to the youth who had earned them.
