On May 25th, AYLUS members helped at their local senior center.
First, they led the volunteers in a group chair yoga session in which the residents got to exercise their bodies and get a little more energy for the rest of the day. Then, the volunteers made fruit bowls with yogurt and fruits which were given to the residents outside in the summer day. For the residents who couldn’t eat harder fruits, they were given fruit cups and pudding. After collecting the bowls and utensils from the finished residents, the volunteers took the seniors out on a walk around the garden, making sure to admire the roses along the walk. Finally, the residents were brought to lunch and all the plates and cups were tidied away.

On May 25th, 2025, Murrieta AYLUS members helped their local senior center.
Members signed in at the front desk before walking to the library where the couches were already filled with members waiting. Members greeted the seniors and started by playing some jazz music and then followed up with some songs that seniors requested the previous week. A regular senior also gave members hugs and sang along with the music. Members were happy to be there with the seniors and will return next week.
