On Sunday, May 11, the members of the Greater Triangle Branch went to the Brookdale Durham Assisted Living Facility for a performance.
Before going to the facility, our volunteers spent quite a lot of time preparing and rehearsing at home. They fully showed their violin, piano, cello, and horn skills in performance. Their performance was a harmonious fusion of classical and contemporary pieces, showcasing the musicians’ exceptional talent and dedication. Jingyu Zhang and Kenny Zheng performed as a group, which is impressive due to their high-level ensemble skills. The audience was touched by the rich, diverse sounds of the instruments, which created a memorable experience for all in attendance. The staff and residents at the facility were incredibly pleased by our performance.
The overwhelmingly positive response from the residents highlighted the profound impact of music in bringing joy and community spirit to Brookdale Durham. Our volunteers are glad to make those seniors happy with their music.
