On May 10th, 2025, Murrieta AYLUS members helped Habitat for Humanity with a house painting project.
Members got there early to try to avoid the heat, and they started by prepping the house. Members would put blue painters tape all around the house and then brown paper down before laying down tarps to make sure that if paint dropped, it wouldn’t stain the concrete. After everyone else got there, a safety demonstration was given, and members got to work. The temperature got really hot, really fast, so members had to work fast, but still make sure their work was good. About halfway through, the paint started to curdle because it was super hot so everyone quickly finished most of the body of the house before calling it a day.
