On April 26, 2025, AYLUS Oyster Bay members visited the Northport Veterans Medical Center once again for a heartwarming performance, marking their eleventh collaboration with the Fortune Star Band. The event began with “America the Beautiful,” followed by the band’s renditions of songs such as “Stand by Me,” “Soul Meets Body,” “God Bless America,” and “Lonely Warrior,” featuring a choir and a rich array of instruments, including violin, viola, cello, saxophone, drums, keyboard, flute, and guitar. The program also included vocal solos and small group performances by youth rock musicians. The audience of elderly veterans responded with enthusiastic applause, touched by the uplifting music. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Fortune Star Band, expanding our visits to more nursing homes and community institutions, and using the power of music to spread joy and strengthen community bonds.

Gratitude to the following 25 youth volunteers, totaling 50.5 volunteer hours collectively.
