Greater Tulsa Branch completed the first African Library Project on April 19

Reported by Kevin Chen

On April 19, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM, the Greater Tulsa Branch of AYLUS completed the final packing of 16 boxes containing a total of 930 children’s books (grades K–8) at President Kevin’s house. We then shipped all 16 boxes to Ayeasu-Atrensu DA School in Ghana, Africa, from the Jenks Post Office. Our branch was the only book drive matched with this school, and they are thrilled that we are supporting them! We are so excited to have completed this milestone project through the African Library Project. This achievement was the result of several months of effort, with many book drives and fundraising efforts to cover the shipping fees. We are incredibly proud of every single one of our members! It took us about 3.5 hours to finish the final packing, transport the boxes to the Jenks Post Office, and ship them out
