Houston Branch Volunteers at Citizens for Animal Protection on April 18th, 2025

On April 18th, AYLUS Houston volunteers returned to Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) to support the shelter’s ongoing mission of caring for rescued animals. During this visit, our members spent the afternoon walking dogs of all sizes, giving them a chance to stretch their legs, enjoy the outdoors, and experience much-needed human interaction.

For many of the animals at CAP, these walks are one of the few opportunities they have to receive personal attention and exercise, making a significant difference in both their physical health and emotional well-being. Volunteers also helped reinforce positive social behavior, which can be vital in improving the animals’ chances for adoption.

We’re incredibly proud of our volunteers for showing such compassion and responsibility, and we are thankful to CAP for providing a welcoming space for us to contribute. Experiences like these remind us of the importance of animal welfare and the impact we can make, one walk at a time. AYLUS Houston is excited to continue supporting organizations like CAP in their mission to give every animal the care, love, and second chance they deserve.

Volunteers (2 hours): Ryan Lin, Amy Jiang, Zixuan Chen, Xin Lin Shi, Ethan Guo, Rui Jiao, Ruoxi Shen, Jorvinia Guo, Millie Wu, Huiyi Xue, Yuming Chen, Mofei Li, Xiang Zhang, Grace Jiao, Emma Jiao, Guanfu Chen
