On April 5th, 2025, AYLUS Houston had the pleasure of volunteering at Katy Christian Ministries Resale Store and Donation Center, where we were able to show our commitment in helping families around Katy. Volunteers helped around the store, and helped provide access to those in our community to a variety of items.
For three hours, the volunteers were split into groups, some helping sort and clean glassware around the store, as well as ensuring the shelves and windows were clean. Others helped out in the back, where they demonstrated their teamwork by sorting donated books to be put up onto shelves. In addition, volunteers also helped with sorting bed sheets, and taking them into the store to be sold.
This opportunity allowed for AYLUS Houston in serving the community, and for Katy Christian Ministries to continue their goal in providing access to services with care, love, and compassion through our actions. We are deeply thankful for this opportunity, and look forward to future opportunities that will permit us to help in meaningful ways.
