On March 29th, 2025, four AYLUS volunteers helped out at the Special Needs Program at DCFC. Participants danced to music and talked about the importance of self-love and love towards others. This fostered a sense of connection and unity among the volunteers and kids. Following the learning session, the kids took on a hands-on interactive project to make dog toys out of donated clothing to be donated later on to a local animal shelter. The dog toy cloth strips were cut and knotted beforehand by two AYLUS volunteers. This creative activity inspired teamwork and ended the program with an accomplished note. The volunteers and kids alike seemed to enjoy the activity as it embraced creativity and brought fun to the program. Overall, the four AYLUS volunteers learned about the value of contributing to a meaningful cause and helping all members of the community.
