Greater Tulsa Branch Continues Homeless Mats Project on March 29th, 2025

Reported by: Neddy Cai

On March 29th, our team reconvened at advisor Jean Cai’s residence to further our plastic mat-making initiative, a project dedicated to supporting local homeless shelters. Drawing on skills honed in previous sessions, we meticulously cut and tied plastic bags into yarn-like strips before crocheting them into durable, reusable mats. This session was particularly rewarding as we reached a new level of craftsmanship, producing mats with a smoother, more refined finish.

From 1:00 to 4:00 PM, volunteers devoted three hours of focused effort, fostering teamwork and reinforcing our shared commitment to creating a positive impact in the community.
