In March, the Greater Princeton & Far Beyond Branch of AYLUS (GPA) visited the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Menlo Park (132 Evergreen Road, Edison, NJ 08837) to host a wonderful concert.
GPA members presented a music program with fabulous singing, dancing, piano, and more instruments to hundreds of veterans and their families.
Rebuilt in 1999 on 109-acres in Middlesex County, the facility is the most modern, state-of-the-art nursing home in the United States. The 312-bed facility features a “town square” core with resident living areas located around the perimeter. The home is next to Roosevelt Hospital and is easily accessible from Route 1 and Route 287, the Garden State Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike.
GPA leaders Jason Shi (3/26, 3 hrs) organize this program with NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Menlo Park.
GPA Volunteers (3/29, 3 hrs for all): Keefer Kohli (host and violinist and host), Jerry Chen (host), Jason Shi (pianist and DJ), Chenhao Luo (singer and pianist), Gloria Wang (hulusi), Erich Dong (pianist), King’s Academy of Dance Arts.
