On Saturday March 22nd, the Great Neck AYLUS branch held an AAPI reading session at the Station Library. Goldman read the book “Bee Bim Bop!”. Andrew read “Let’s do everything and nothing”. Afterwards, the volunteers brought the children along in a wide variety of crafts. Goldman and Andrew helped teach kids origami, while Rebecca assisted in using playdoh to play with the kids as well as coloring pages. Rainie was helping out at the crochet area where she showed how to create a bunny. Baiyu created a variety of objects out of origami to give to the kids. Overall, this experience has proven to be a fun and entertaining event for both the volunteers and the children. Everyone had fun and we thank everyone who joined us for this event.
